Programme Standards
Program standards are established by individual countries and cover Mileage and Age to name a few, yet several standards apply uniformly across all Harley-Davidson Certified Pre-Owned Platforms. Please contact your FSM or FIC for confirmation of your markets specific criteria for Certified Pre-Owned or look at your Dealer Playbook.
VIN
Through close collaboration with Harley-Davidson in the US, we've established an API connection enabling the lookup of the VIN for all Harley-Davidson models. The VIN lookup enables the automated population of most required model data for you, significantly streamlining and simplifying the process of loading your stock.
Mandatory Data
While the VIN lookup provides some data, it doesn't cover all the necessary information required by the website. Additionally, there are several other mandatory data fields we need, including price, name, descriptions, and mileage. This information is used to validate your used models, power the Certified Pre-Owned website filters and search functionality and Finance Integrations.
Images
Our loading platform exclusively accepts JPEG images.
Ensure your images adhere to the following standards:
- Maintain a minimum size of 600 x 440 pixels.
- Optimal image size would be 1024 x 768.
- Images should be in landscape orientation.
Your market may have additional rules, please refer to the details shared by your market to find out this information.
Adhering to these image standards will maintain consistency across the Certified Pre-Owned website.
Why isn't my model showing on the CPO website?
Several reasons could account for this issue. Please find details below based on how your models are added to our systems:
1. Data feed (External provider sends the model data to Media Links Online to publish on Certified Pre-Owned)
- Data feed may have failed, please contact your FSM / FIC if you are expecting your models to appear on the platform but are unable to locate them.
- Data falls outside of the criteria set by your market for age and mileage.
2. Manual upload to Media Links Online
- The VIN lookup may have failed, and you should receive an error message if this occurs.
- Manual entry of required data may not have been completed. Please check if you are missing any information the system details as mandatory.
- Your model may fall outside the criteria set by your market based on age and mileage.
- Images may be missing, or you have failed to upload the minimum image requirements. Each market is different, but as standard your model should have at least one image.
- Price not listed. This is mandatory.
- You have failed to successfully publish your model to live. Please check the status of the model and refer to the above guide to check how to set your model as 'live'

How long does it take for my model/s to show on the Certified Pre-Owned Website?
The frequency of updates to your data on the website depends on how it is added.
For models sent via third-party data feed integration, such as newly added, deleted, or updated models, including changes to associated data like images or prices, updates occur once daily. Your data provider sends us a fresh file each morning, typically around 4:00am UK time. Our system then processes and implements these updates.
If you load your models using our Loading Platform, updates are processed hourly, on the hour, provided your changes have been made live. Occasionally, due to high data volumes, there may be a delay beyond the hour. If updates are not visible after 2 hours, please contact your FSM or FIC.
Why is finance failing to quote?
Finance services are facilitated through third-party integrations. Each provider imposes minimum data requirements to generate finance quotes or enable features like Apply Online.
If you encounter difficulties generating a finance quote, ensure you are supplying the minimum data requirements, which may include VIN and Mandatory Data
If the required information is provided yet finance services are still failing, please contact your FSM or FIC for assistance.
